Relationships: The Key to Success

The Fauquier Bank seeks Excellence through an Engaged and Empowered Team, building valued Relationships with our Customers and Community.

The foundation of The Fauquier Bank’s new vision are five corporate values:

Recap: Since August, we have discussed The Fauquier Bank’s first four corporate values, Excellence, Engagement, Empowerment, and Teamwork. Through an attitude of Excellence and an Engaged mindset, TFB employees come to work with a desire to assist customers to the absolute best of their abilities. The Fauquier Bank also believes that by Empowering our employees, we will share the empowerment with our communities, friends, neighbors, and families. Marc Bogan, President and CEO of the Bank, says, “doing the right thing” and “looking for an opportunity to make a difference” are key to empowerment. The Bank’s success is really attributed to our Teamwork. Bogan says, “[A] Team is something you choose to be a part of, and you choose to contribute to, and something of which you earn the right to be a part.”

Relationships

The Bank’s fifth and final corporate value is Relationships, which is defined as “the way in which two or more concepts or people are connected, or the state of being connected. The way in which two or more people or organizations regard and behave toward each other.” Each member of our team plays a very critical role in the Bank’s success. Through positive relationships and respect within our team, we are able to spend more time focusing on our relationships with our customers. “Banking is a people business—it is the simple act of shaking someone’s hand, looking them in the eye, promising to take care of their need, returning their phone call, greeting them by name, and treating them better than we would expect to be treated,” says Bogan.
