Empowering Employees to Make a Difference

The Fauquier Bank seeks Excellence through an Engaged and Empowered Team, building valued Relationships with our Customers and Community.

The foundation of The Fauquier Bank’s new vision are five corporate values:

Recap: In August and September, we discussed The Fauquier Bank’s first two corporate values, Excellence and Engagement. Through an attitude of Excellence and an Engaged mindset, TFB employees come to work with a desire to assist customers to the absolute best of their abilities. Marc Bogan, President and CEO of The Fauquier Bank states, “If we [the Bank] are Engaged and emotionally invested, involved, and committed…we will continue to be given the honor of serving our clients.”

Empowerment

 Our third corporate value is Empowerment. To be empowered is to be given authority – the authority to make decisions, to express ideas, and to suggest alternatives. When employees are empowered, they have control over their work and are more committed to their place of employment.

At The Fauquier Bank, employees are empowered to make a difference in the organization. By empowering our employees, TFB enables faster decision-making, improved productivity, and better customer service. Marc Bogan, President and CEO, believes that “we should always put ourselves in our customers’ shoes and treat them better than we would expect to be treated.” Our clients are the reason we are successful.

The Fauquier Bank also believes that by empowering our employees, we will share the empowermimg_2773ent with our communities, friends, neighbors, and families. Just a few weekends ago, our employees incorporated the core values of The Fauquier Bank for the Buddy Walk at George Mason University in support of one of our teammates and her son. Also in early October, TFB employees took the initiative to help paint the Vint Hill transitional housing for Piedmont United Way’s Day of Caring. Together we empower each other and our communities. According to Bogan, “doing the right thing” and “looking for an opportunity to make a difference” are key to empowerment. At TFB, we teach our employees values that are useful outside of work.

John Quincy Adams said, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” The Fauquier Bank understands that success doesn’t just come from clients, but from our very own motivated team. Today, we thank our clients and our team for continuing to be Excellent, Engaged, and Empowered.
